Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has been urged by the board to raise £50m from summer sales.
The Mirror says Bruce is faced with the prospect of losing £40m-rated starlet Jack Grealish, along with defender James Chester and striker Jonathan Kodjia, to make good the losses during the next 12 months.
Villa are facing a double-whammy - they are losing money and also need to make severe in-roads into the deficit of Financial Fair Play regulations that they are currently running.
Grealish is wanted by Spurs, but Villa will resist any attempts by Daniel Levy to secure him on the cheap.
A more likely destination for Grealish is Leicester.
