A trio of transfer targets, reportedly destined for Sunderland, has led boss Steve Bruce to deny the Black Cats have made any bids. The Wearsiders have been linked with Aston Villa's Stewart Downing, with loan moves for Inter Milan's Sulley Muntari and Paris Saint-Germain's Stephane Sessegnon also muted.
Interest in Birmingham's Sebastian Larsson has reportedly ended due to wage demands.
Bruce insists he has yet to make any firm approaches.
He said: "We certainly haven't bid for anybody. I have seen reports this morning that we have lodged bids for certain players.
"We haven't bid for anybody and I certainly don't think I will be making any bids for anybody in particular."
