Bruce insists Sunderland fans need reality check

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce says fans should be satisfied with their 0-0 draw at Swansea City.

Bruce has come under pressure having being backed with 10 signings made so far this summer, and potentially another striker on the way ahead of the transfer deadline.

But he says there needs to be a reality check on expectations at the Stadium of Light.

"We have gone two games unbeaten away from home, it was a difficult start, but we lost the derby which in the north east we know how disappointed people get with that.

"That's the expectation we have created. A draw away from home is not good enough anymore but we have to have a reality check somewhere.

"We are disappointed as in the three games we have had enough to win the match and usually away from home you don't get five or six chances like we had today and you have to take them."
