The organisers of the 2012 Herbalife World Football Challenge series of soccer friendlies have agreed broadcast deals for North America, reports SportsPro. The nine-match series runs from 18th July to 11th August and features the best teams in Major League Soccer (MLS) taking on some of European football's biggest names.
And CAA Sports have announced that ESPN, Fox Soccer, Univision Deportes Network and Univision Radio have secured live rights to the matches in the US, with TSN, Sportsnet and RDS serving as broadcast partners in Canada.
ESPN networks will show five matches from the series in the US, with Fox Soccer showing four and Univision Deportes Network one.
In Canada, TSN and TSN2 will show four matches with RDS2 airing a match between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain at Yankee Stadium on 22nd July.
The 2012 Herbalife World Football Challenge will begin on 18th July with a game between Seattle Sounders and Uefa Champions League winners Chelsea.
