Bristol City owner Steve Lansdown has hailed the impact of Tammy Abraham this season.

The Chelsea striker has been sensational during his loan spell.

Lansdown told The Sun: “Tammy has been absolutely brilliant for us.

“Not only is Tammy a great player on the field, he's a great person off the field as well.

“I really hope that he can end the season with a bang.

“I'd love it if Tammy could score the goals to win himself the Golden Boot for the Championship because he deserves it.

“But the way Tammy holds the ball up for us as well has been tremendous — and he's turning into a top all-round player.

“He's a real handful and that's why last weekend I thought that the Barnsley players were just glad to get off the pitch because of Tammy.

“Chelsea have been monitoring him closely while he's been with us and so they will have seen that he's come on leaps and bounds.

“I hope that Chelsea will see that we have done a good job on Tammy and that they will look upon us favourably for some of their other young players going forward."
