Brisbane Roar chairman Craig Fong says his club appointed John Aloisi's at its new head coach on the basis of the former Socceroo's 'determination to succeed'.
Aloisi will direct all football operations at the A-League's most successful club. It is the former striker's second stint in charge of an A-League club, following an unsuccessful period with Melbourne Heart in 2012/13.
Fong said Aloisi was the perfect fit to launch a new era for the Roar.
"John brings to the Roar a passionate understanding of Australian football and the Hyundai A-League," he said.
"I am impressed by his determination to succeed and the fresh focus he will bring to the club."
Aloisi takes over from interim head coach Frans Thijssen, after the Roar finished their 2014/15 campaign in sixth place following a finals loss to Adelaide United.
