Brighton table bids for two defensive targets

Brighton have made an offer for Sheffield United defender Jack O'Connell.

The Daily Mail says Brighton have offered £8million for O'Connell and £3m for Wigan defender Dan Burn.

Chris Hughton wants to add another centre-back to improve his Brighton squad ahead of the new Premier League season as they bid to stay in the top flight again.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder doesn't want to lose O'Connell.

Brighton emerged victorious in their final pre-season game ahead of the Premier League season on Friday evening as Tomer Hemed and Pascal Gross netted in a 2-1 win against Nantes.
