Premier League side Brighton have set a new record in terms of their profitability.

The Albion have broken the record for the most profit ever made by an English club in one year. They made £122.8m across the 2022-23 season. Brighton's profit margin is only beaten globally by Barcelona, who made £300m from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

What is more remarkable is that the figure does not include one of two big sales.

The club gained £115 million through the sale of Moises Caicedo, which is not factored into these numbers.

Brighton are set to have a significant war chest in the summer, which will please manager Roberto De Zerbi.

A lot of the money Brighton have made in the past couple of years has come from Chelsea.
