Brighton secure young duo to new deals

Brighton and Hove Albion have announced the retention of two of their 18-year-old prospects.

The Albion have secured Joe Knight and Zane Albarus for the coming years.

Per The Argus, Knight is a central midfielder who impressed against Reading in the Bristol Street Motors EFL Trophy.

Albarus is also a midfielder, while he has played more often for the Under-18s than the Under-21s.

Brighton are continuing their youth-centered focus as they look to build a competitive squad for manager Roberto De Zerbi.

For his part, the Italian has spoken about the club needing to be more ambitious in the transfer market.
