Brighton are planning a move for Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The London Evening News says Graham Potter's Brighton are keeping an eye on Maitland-Niles' situation in view of a possible move in the upcoming transfer window.
Maitland-Niles is a graduate of Arsenal's famed Hale End academy and at 22 is the oldest of an emerging crop of young talent.
In the past three seasons, he has been a regular in the first-team squad and last year filled in a right-back for the injured Hector Bellerin.
However, his versatility has hindered his progress as he's been unable to secure a place in the starting XI in his favoured position.
Maitland-Niles has said he wants to play in midfield but the competition for places at Arsenal means he has played centrally on just a handful of occasions.
