Brighton midfielder Mulder praises De Gea: My header was good but the save was even better

Brighton boss Graham Potter insists a first Premier League goal for Jakub Moder will happen after defeat at Manchester United.

Moder was denied by a world-class save from David De Gea and when he beat the Spain goalkeeper in the second half, his effort from well outside the box came back off the crossbar.

“Jakub has been out of luck which can happen, but he does so much right by getting into the opposition penalty area," he said. “I'm convinced he will get goals soon and my job is make sure he keeps getting those opportunities."

Moder, 22, was philosophical as he reflected on a frustrating night in front of goal.

“My header was good but the save was even better, I also hit the bar in the second half but I don't really think about the missed chances, I know the goal is coming.

“We have improved a lot since I came to the club and are still improving. When I came we fought to stay in the league and now we are ninth and could do even better, that is certainly our ambition.

“We will recover and think about Burnley on Saturday. We have to stay focussed and keep playing at this level."
