Brighton midfielder Hinshelwood: West Ham draw missed opportunity

Brighton midfielder Jack Hinshelwood admitted frustration after their 0-0 draw at West Ham.

The youngster was named best afield on Tuesday night.

He said: "It feels like both a good point and an opportunity missed. It is never easy to come here so first of all we are happy with the clean sheet and we are going to have to take a point.

"But overall with the chances we had, we are obviously disappointed not to have won the game."

On his development this season, he continued: "It is massive to get the playing time and also to be trusted by the gaffer to play in so many different positions. Learning and growing in so many different areas is something I have done all my life throughout the academy so to do it at the senior level is great and it continued today.

"The way the club gives us boys the opportunity is massive. At the end of the day it is up to us to go out and perform and take it. First and foremost we have to make sure that we deserve to be out there."

On manager Roberto de Zerbi, Hinshelwood added: "The manager is great. The way we work on things throughout the week is great, makes the patterns of play so easy to understand, everyone knows what they want and need to do with the ball."
