Brighton made an offer for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Çakir in January, it has been revealed.
Fanatik says the Seagulls offered €20m for the Turkey international, which was turned down by Trabzonspor.
Brighton were in the market for a new keeper at the time as they were preparing to allow Mat Ryan to depart for Arsenal after manager Graham Potter had chosen to go with Robert Sanchez as his No1 this season.
However, with Trabzonspor refusing to do business over Cakir, Brighton chose to go with Christian Walton as Sanchez's prime backup.
Trabzonspor want at least £25m to sell the Turkey No1.
