Brighton have announced that James Beadle has signed a new contract until June 2026.
The under-21s shot stopper has been at the club since January 2022, signing from Charlton Athletic.
He has played 15 Premier League 2 games so far, and is hoping to break through to the first team in the coming months.
James said after signing: “I've really enjoyed my first year here, I have come on leaps and bounds in that time and I know I can carry that on here.
“I really enjoy working with [lead academy goalkeeping coach] Sal Bibbo and Shannon Ruth, I trust them with my development, so it was an easy decision to sign the new contract."
Under-21s head coach Shannon Ruth added: “James has progressed really well in his year with us so far and we're delighted that he's committed his long-term future to the club to continue his development.
“I've been really happy with the way he has settled with us and I am looking forward to seeing him kick on even further in the second half of this season."
