Brighton defender Adam Webster admits he lost confidence at one stage of his career at the club.
Webster was part of the team that won 3-1 against Bournemouth on Saturday in the Premier League.
However, he admits that when they lost to West Ham United at home earlier this season, he suffered a serious dent in his belief.
Webster told The Argus: “The last time I played was against West Ham.
“Obviously I didn't have a good day that day and it affected me quite a lot, to be honest.
“I maybe lost a bit of confidence from that. It can happen.
“You can have bad days and I knew I had to wait for my chance to get back in. I have done that and hopefully I have done enough to show the manager I'm ready.
“It's difficult when you lose games, it's never nice, but it's how you react and learn from that."
