Brighton defender Lewis Dunk will see a knee specialist.
The centre-back missed his first league match of the campaign against Southampton on Saturday.
He experienced damage to his knee ligament in their game against West Ham United last week.
According to the Daily Mail, he could have suffered a significant issue, which may even need surgery.
Brighton are hopeful they can have him back in around six weeks, but he may not play until March if he has to undergo a procedure.
