Shane Duffy is hoping that Ireland can go one better in their next international game.
The Republic had a positive 0-0 draw with Denmark in the UEFA Nations League.
But Duffy wants to go a step further in the next game, which is on Tuesday against Wales.
He said via social media: "Tough battle. Not the result we were looking for. Positive is back to a clean sheet and try and get the win on Tuesday against Wales."
Duffy will be pleased that his last two outings in defence included clean sheets, the 1-0 Brighton win over West Ham in the Premier League and the 0-0 with Denmark.
