Brighton captain Bruno: Knockaert and I good for eachother

Brighton & Hove Albion captain Bruno admits he's enjoying his partnership with Anthony Knockaert.

The right-wing duo have featured together in seven of Albion's previous nine Premier League games.

Bruno told the club's website: “We've been playing together for quite a long time now and we understand each other. Both of us like offensive play, but he's also a hard worker that helps me a lot in the defensive task.

“You always see from his stats that he's making lots of sprints and working hard for the team. Defence is important for us, because keeping a clean sheet is one of the main things. But offensively, he gives us a lot.

“Playing behind him is so easy for me, because we understand each other with the one-twos, he knows where I am and I know where he is. It's a good relationship."

The Seagulls currently sit in eighth position on the Premier League table.

Bruno added: “Sometimes the difference between the Championship and the Premier League is not that big. It's more about your personality and trying to express yourself on the pitch.

“Some players, in terms of skill and ability, are ready for the Premier League. But to go away from home and play in the same way, that's the difficult thing.

“But I think we're playing with the same personality and in the same way that we were in the Championship."
