Brighton boss Potter insists Webster will bounce back

Brighton boss Graham Potter is confident Adam Webster will bounce back from defeat to Sheffield United.

The defender was at fault for the Oliver McBurnie goal which sent the Seagulls to a 1-0 defeat by United.

Potter said: “He did well against Crystal Palace. Everyone is like that, they'll have moments where they'll dip and show good form.

“But he wasn't the reason why (we lost) and we're all in it together.

“We win and we lose together. I'm as much responsible as anybody.

“When you're adapting from the Championship to the Premier League you don't expect it to be a straight line in terms of performances.

“It is his first season. He's adapting.

“You're going to have moments where you're not so good, it's how you respond. We know that's the path he's going to take. He's going to need to improve, like us all."
