Brighton boss Chris Hughton says he will have good backing in the market this month.
Hughton, linked with Celtic's Moussa Dembele, believes decent reinforcements will make a difference.
He admitted: “We are very keen to do something.
“We tried to bring in a different type of striker in the summer, that process hasn't really changed.
“The fact we want to do something , that always comes down from the chairman.
“But it is being able to do something with some of the complications, prices and salaries.
“It won't be through lack of trying.
“I would prefer it certainly if it didn't go into that last week because it can become a bit of a lottery once you get into the last week."
