Crystal Palace hero Mark Bright feels fans must look beyond Tony Pulis' style of football if he is to be the next manager.
Pulis is being linked with the job following Ian Holloway's departure.
Bright told talkSPORT: "The key thing this season is to try and remain in the Premier League after working so hard to get there.
"Steve Parish immediately mentioned that Tony Pulis has never been relegated from the Premier League. He said he's out of work and he does know [Ian Holloway] and he shrugged his shoulders as if to say he would be an obvious person that we would look at.
"You have to look at all the options and you have to say, could Tony Pulis come in and get the best out of that team? Get them really defensive minded, make them hard to beat and get them to pick up points so they can get through to the January transfer window? If Steve and the board think that he can do that then the fans just have to say, 'this is where we want to be next year'."
