Brighi sticking with Roma - for now

AS Roma midfielder Matteo Brighi is ready to stay with the capital club.

Brighi will remain at Roma until the end of the season despite again attracting the attention of Genoa.

"Their interest in him is dated, seeing as Genoa had already made an approach for the player during the summer," revealed agent Vanni Puzzolo.

"I think a January move is impossible too, as I can't see Roma letting go of a player who has only just extended his contract until 2014.

"It's true that anything can happen in football, but Matteo will stay at Roma. He is happy, the club is happy, I see no reason for a change."
