Brienza convinced Reggina will stay up

Reggina midfielder Franco Brienza is convinced they can beat the drop under coach Nevio Orlandi.

"At the moment it seems that 40 points will be enough for survival, even though we will have to see how the results go in other games," he told Radio Kiss Kiss. "On Sunday I am expecting to meet a Genoa side on form. Gian Piero Gasperini's side are doing well and the results they are getting demonstrates that.

"They have practically guaranteed safety and they can play calmly, which gives an important psychological advantage."

Brienza has thrived under new coach Orlandi and added: "Playing under Nevio Orlandi we have changed our attitude tactically and mentally.

"With Renzo Ulivieri we prepared for games based on the characteristics of the opponents, but now we quite rightly focus on our game because we just need to go out and win."
