Mark Bresciano will remain at Lazio after the president of Genoa said a deal would not be done.
The Australian midfielder was being heavily linked with a shift to Genoa but Enrico Preziosi admitted that the former Palermo man would not fit at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
"Bresciano is a player who interests us, but we would not know where to put him," Preziosi told a local radio station. "At the moment our priority is the attacker and we cannot wait for that."
Bresciano has struggled for regular game time with the Biancocelesti but will now stay at the third-placed Serie A club.
