Premier League strugglers Brentford are not in the mood to spend their way out of trouble.

The Bees will only consider long-term targets this month as they look to revamp their squad.

While manager Thomas Frank knows they must improve drastically, he does not believe quick fixes are the solution.

Brentford wanted to sign Johan Bakayoko and Brennan Johnson in the summer, but missed out on both long-term targets.

The only winter deal so far is the loan of Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham, which is forced due to injuries.

Both Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey are absent and will not be back in the coming weeks.
