Brentford boss Frank pays tribute to Man Utd signing Eriksen

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has paid tribute to Christian Eriksen after he signed for Manchester United.

Eriksen joined United after coming off contract at the Bees last month.

After defeat to Stuttgart on Saturday, Frank was keen to send a message of thanks to the 30-year-old midfielder.

He said, "We wish him the best of luck in his new club. It's been a successful relationship between Christian and Brentford. We helped him, he helped us, a fantastic agreement.

"Of course, we wanted him to stay longer and he decided something else. Personally, I'm thankful for the chance to get to know him even better, having worked with him 14 years ago.

"I saw his social media post and I have since spoken to him over the phone, he said thank you to everyone at Brentford and I know he really enjoyed his time here."
