Brentford boss Thomas Frank has defended their asking price for David Raya.

The goalkeeper has a year to run on his deal and Brentford are insisting on £40m to sell.

Frank said, "I hope he stays forever, but it looks difficult with his contract situation.

"He must cost at least £40m. If he had three years left on his contract, he would have cost £70m.

"What did Kepa (Arrizabalaga) cost? He is at least as good as him."
