Brentford boss Thomas Frank admits David Raya has rejected a new contract offer.
Spain international David Raya, 27, arrived at Brentford in the summer of 2019.
Since then, the goalkeeper has developed into a key player. Recently, he has been linked with Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United .
Raya's contract expires in the summer of 2024 and it has previously been reported that he snubbed an extension.
Bees manager Frank confirmed: "I think that if he declines twice, it is unfortunately a signal. We presented two really good offers but that's okay, it's a free world. We cannot force anyone.
"David has been fantastic for us. I think he is one of the best goalkeepers in this league right now. He is very focused and I am happy for every day he is here.
"I hope he will stay forever but it looks like it could be difficult given the contract situation. He must cost at least £40m.
"If he had three years left (on his contract) it would have been £70m. How much did Kepa cost ? He's at least as good as him."
