Brentford attacker Jay Dasilva: Bordeaux friendly a good hit-out

Brentford attacker Jay Dasilva says he enjoyed their friendly hit-out against Bordeaux.

The Bees lost the midseason bounce game 2-1.

Despite the defeat in Spain, the Bees midfielder was happy to get back on the pitch, almost a month since our last Premier League game.

And he enjoyed lining up alongside the B Team players, including Alex Gilbert, Ryan Trevitt, Tristan Crama, Yehor Yarmoliuk and Michael Olakigbe, who all played the full game against the French side.

Dasilva told the club's website: "One of our goals before the game was to make sure we played with high intensity. I think, overall, I would say we played quite well.

“Obviously there are always things to work on, the mixture between the First Team and B Team boys, that understanding, but I think, overall, we got what we needed out of the game."

He added: "It was good to get back out there and get feeling around with the team. There were a few young boys in there which was also good for them to have that experience with us too.

“It's good for them to gain experience and play with us. We play with high intensity, so it's good for them to have that experience. I'm sure that will put them in good stead."
