Brendan Gan has won a new, two-year contract with Sydney FC. The young midfielder's terms are $80,000-a-year, says the Telegraph, and he said: "It (the National Youth League) was the perfect opportunity for my development.

"I thought if I got some time in the A-League it would be awesome and I'd take it from there.

"What's happened has all been very exciting."
