Breitner convinced Man Utd no match for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich legend Paul Breitner is convinced they're outright favourites in their Champions clash with Manchester United.

Brietner, 62, one of Germany's greatest players and now a special advisor to Bayern, collected their Laureus World Team of the Year trophy here yesterday and then forecast they will become the first club to successfully defend their Champions League title.

"We are clear favourites for this quarter-final," said Breitner. "We are very strong and we are sure we can go through to the semi-finals.

"We are the best team right now. I am convinced we will be the first team to defend the European trophy."
