Brann Bergen striker Robbie Winters is hoping to return to Scotland for family reasons, says the Evening Express.

The former Dundee United and Aberdeen forward's contract in Norway runs out in November, but Brann's penalty shoot-out defeat to Deportivo in the UEFA Cup first round last week has opened the door for the 33-year-old to leave.

"We told him if we went out of Europe he could maybe go home earlier since he has family in Scotland," said boss Mons Ivar Mjelde.
