Sunderland defender Titus Bramble was happy to see action in their 1-1 draw at West Ham United.
The Upton Park clash was the 31-year-old's first start of the season, after he made a substitute appearance in the home draw with Liverpool last week.
"I'm not a young lad any more, I've not got legs like I used to have - I prefer a physical game rather than having to run the channels," he told safc.com.
"Against Liverpool it wasn't easy coming on off the bench. I got to start today and I think I did okay.
"We're unbeaten in the league I'm happy to be back in the picture, there is competition for places so when you get your chance you have to take it."
