Caretaker boss Peter Jackson spoke of the "lonely experience" as Bradford crashed to their heaviest home defeat for seven years, 5-1 to Crewe. Jackson said: "When I came to the club the most important thing was to keep us in this division, but this has taken the shine off anything we have done."
He added: "The last 45 minutes when you are standing in the dugout as I was and you are losing 4-1 and then 5-1 at home is a very lonely experience and a horrible thing."
Jackson is still waiting to see if he will be confirmed as permanent manager. But he said: "The retained list will be out on Monday and I am planning pre-season - someone has to be here to do that. As regards my own future, unless I am told otherwise I will be coming into the club day in and day out."
