Peterborough forward George Boyd is in line to break a club record at Doncaster on Tuesday night. The 24 year old made his 124th consecutive league appearance since joining from Stevenage Borough in 2007 at Bristol City on Saturday and marked it with a last-minute goal.
Boyd has drawn level with Manchester United goalkeeping coach Eric Steele in the London Road record books and is set to move ahead at the Keepmoat.
Boyd said: "I suppose it was written in the script for me to score on such an occasion.
"It is a proud moment for me to equal the record and hopefully I can beat it on Tuesday night."
