Lee Bowyer has urged QPR striker Charlie Austin to choose Newcastle United.

Austin is also interesting another of Bowyer's former clubs, West Ham United.

But he told talkSPORT: “I think he would be better suited up in Newcastle.

“West Ham have got a couple of forwards already. They have got big Andy Carroll, they have got Sakho who scored a few goals last season. Newcastle, I can't think of any of their strikers but Cisse, and he wants to leave.

“He would be loved up at Newcastle if he starts scoring some goals. They are great fans and he should hit the ground running if he decides to go there."
