Bowen, Zouma throw support behind West Ham teammate Noble after penalty miss

West Ham United captain ark Noble's teammates are showing him a great deal of support following their 2-1 loss to Manchester United.

The Hammers won a penalty in the dying minutes of the Premier League contest at home on Sunday.

Noble was called off the bench by manager David Moyes to take the decisive kick, but his effort was saved by David De Gea.

"We feel sorry for him and we know that on another day he would score. This is football," said Kurt Zouma, per theEvening Standard.

"He's experienced enough to take any penalty and we know the next one he will score for sure."

Attacker Jarrod Bowen added: "You ask anyone about West Ham, and they say Mark Noble.

"He is the face of this club and he has been for years.

"Today was nothing. He has come on and hit the target, and it's a good save.

"It's a 50/50 chance when you take a penalty, and these things happen in football unfortunately."
