Stoke City No2 Mark Bowen says they have big ambitions for the Premier League this season.

Bowen, together with manager Mark Hughes and coach Eddie Niedzwiecki, says ninth can be improved on after three seasons in that very same position during their time at the club.

“I think everybody is aware that we possibly missed an opportunity last year by not finishing in a higher spot.

“Yes, we did have injuries, but we wanted to show the outside world we are progressing.

“We are always trying to push on to the next level and that's what we will continue to try and do."
