Newly promoted Premier League side Bournemouth are hoping to sign Liverpool defender Nathaniel Phillips on loan.
According to Football Insider, the Cherries are keen to strengthen their back line to avoid a straight drop back to the Championship after one season.
Phillips is one who Liverpool want to sell permanently.
However, the source states that the 25-year-old could go on loan if no satisfactory permanent transfer offer arrives.
They could get a loan fee, while the two clubs may even agree on an obligation or option to buy for Bournemouth.
Phillips spent time on loan at Bournemouth last term, playing 18 games as they gained promotion to the Premier League.
