Bournemouth midfielder Fraser revels as Ipswich get set for Man Utd

Ryan Fraser and Mick McCarthy spoke of their excitement for Ipswich Town's upcoming Capital One Cup clash against Manchester United.

Ipswich sealed their place in the third round of the league cup with a fine 4-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday and now the Tractor Boys have been handed a trip to Old Trafford to take on United next month.

Manager McCarthy is delighted at being handed a tie against United and has stated that the fans also share his sentiment.

McCarthy said: “It's a fabulous draw. I don't mind travelling to that one. I thought we might get someone away from League Two when we have to travel miles and the pressure is on but that's a great trip to make.

“I'm pleased for the fans as well. Over 700 have made it to Doncaster tonight so that's a great draw for them. I'm sure they will look forward to it.

“I said that I would play the kids whoever we played but I might have to think again now! I'll have Bish back and Kevin Bru and a few others. We will have a stronger squad and we will see where we are when that game comes around."

On-loan Bournemouth midfielder Fraser, who was on target in the triumph, Tweeted his delight at the prospect of heading to Old Trafford in the next round.
