Bournemouth matchwinner Josh King felt he had no option but to leave Manchester United at 21 years of age.
King was back to haunt his old club yesterday when scoring the winner at Dean Court.
He recalled to VG: "Of course it was very difficult to leave. It was the biggest club in the world at the time when I went, with history, with Sir Alex Ferguson. I knew it was going to be tough when I moved there as a 16 year old, but I thought I could do it and get the chance.
"Sir Alex used to give some of the young guys the chance, like Danny Welbeck and Federico Macheda, he gave them confidence, but I never felt I had the chance, so I felt I had to think for myself.
"I might have been patient, stayed and played for the reserve team, but I felt I had to move on and play men's football."
