The son of former Tottenham and England striker Teddy Sheringham, Charlie, is poised to join League One Bournemouth from Blue Square Bet South side Dartford. The Cherries have had an undisclosed offer accepted for the 23 year old striker.
A statement on Dartford's official website read: "Following an article in a national newspaper, Dartford FC would like to confirm that they have received an offer from AFC Bournemouth for Charlie Sheringham, which has been accepted at club level."
Bournemouth hope to confirm their new signing early next week.
