Bournemouth are in talks to secure the services of Blackburn Rovers midfielder Joe Rothwell.

The 27-year-old is a key target for several clubs this summer.

According to Football Insider, the Cherries have moved ahead in the queue to secure his signature.

The likes of Nottingham Forest and Fulham are also interested in Rothwell.

The midfielder is a free agent this summer after the expiry of his contract with Rovers.

Rothwell was close to signing for Bournemouth in January as well.
