Bournemouth boss O'Neil: Too soon to discuss Stanislas

Bournemouth are not in the mood to discuss what the future holds for Junior Stanislas at present.

Manager Gary O'Neil was asked about the possibility of the veteran leaving in the summer.

With the club firmly focusing on their bid to avoid relegation to the Championship, O'Neil took some time to speak about the struggling 33-year-old.

O'Neil told the Daily Echo: “I wouldn't want to speak about other people's futures.

“There's far more important things that we need to focus on right now.

“I speak to Junior all the time. He's a great lad. He's obviously played a huge part in how well the club has done over recent years.

“Our main focus is to get him back fit so that he can help us. Then whatever happens beyond that, there will be conversations and things that need to take place.

“The job he has done for the football club deserves a huge amount of respect - the time he's been here, the goals he's scored, the part he's played in promotions and avoiding relegations.

“Huge respect for Junior and my only aim with him at the moment is to get him fit and available."
