Bournemouth boss Iraola: Why it's not time to test kids

Bournemouth need more points on the board before they can rotate their team.

That is the view of manager Andoni Iraola, who was asked about giving fringe players a chance.

He admits they want to be giving opportunities to their young talents, but can only do so when Premier League survival is assured.

Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I will put the strongest team that I think.

“Sometimes it will be with the young players, sometimes with experienced ones.

“But this is the Premier League - I was going to say every point you get is very valuable - every corner you have is very valuable.

“Every small detail is very valuable.

“Everyone has to earn.

“It's not easy to play in the Premier League, to have minutes. And it has to be like this."

He then added: “We are not in a situation where we can think in next season.

“We are still not there.

“I hope we are there in one moment of the season, but we are not there.

“We still need more points and we need to win games.

“And if that part of the season, when everything is said and done and still have things to play, we can consider, but we are not there.

“I hope you can ask me this in some weeks!"
