Real Madrid captain Marcelo is wanted by Botafogo.

The veteran left-back comes off contract in June and won't be offered new terms by Real management.

Torcedores.com says Botafogo, after winning promotion to the Brasileiro, are making a move to Marcelo and have already sought to drum up sponsorship support to cover his wage demands.

Also keen are Fluminense, where Marcelo began his pro career before leaving for Madrid.

Marcelo is expected to see out the season before he departs Real.
