Borussia Dortmund star Youssoufa Moukoko has been caught up in an age storm.

The forward, who was born in Yaounde, Cameroon before he came to live in Germany in 2014, is said to be older than his presented age.

Moukoko was said to be 18, but a new report states that he may be 22 years old.

Last week Cameroon's Under-17 side were set to play in a Central African qualifying game, but it was found that 21 of their 30-man squad was actually over that age.

Austrian news outlet Laola1 details claims that Moukoko's adoptive father sent a birth certificate to a journalist, which suggests he was born in the year 2000.

On the matter, per Daily Mail, the German FA said: “We do not comment on any speculation."
