Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze has again talked up a move to Liverpool.

The World Cup winner broke through at Borussia Dortmund under his Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, while he has often been linked with a move to Anfield following the German's own move to Merseyside.

And speaking in Sport Bild, Gotze revealed he is regularly in touch with Klopp despite the pair not working together since his move to Bayern Munich in 2013.

"[Klopp] knew that I wanted to leave Bayern [in 2016]. Of course, we talked. He knows me very well and that I am always looking for new challenges.

"I often speak to Kloppo,. He brought me to the first team when I was 17 and he made it all possible. We never stopped talking."
