Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jadon Sancho stands by his decision to leave Manchester City last summer.
Sancho's decision to turn down a contract offer at City and join Dortmund, who first spotted him aged 14, raised some eyebrows.
But he told the Mirror: “At City it is very hard to get into that first team.
“I wanted to move for opportunities and they [his advisors, close friends and families] understood because at the time there was Leroy Sane, Patrick Roberts on loan...I just thought Dortmund was the best team for me, knowing that young players impress people here.
“It shows because players like (Ousmane) Dembele, (Christian) Pulisic, (Alexander) Isak, what they are here doing is positive."
