Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski would take a move to Manchester United over Bayern Munich this summer. The Telegraph says Lewandowski has told associates he prefers a move to the Premier League, with United his favoured option ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea, who have also monitored him.
Dortmund informed Lewandowski of a United bid last summer and, although the Champions League semi-finalists rejected the offer, the 24-year-old made it clear to the club that he wanted the transfer to be sanctioned.
The Lewandowski camp has been made aware of United's interest, but while Bayern have no obstacles barring their way to a deal, United have conceded that they would have to create space for another forward to be added to Sir Alex Ferguson's squad.
One from Wayne Rooney or Javier Hernandez will have to leave for the Pole to arrive.
